Vipawa Hub Afrika is a non-governmental organization registered in Kenya under the Youth and Social Development Department. The organisation was established in 2018. The story of its Founder and Director, John Kirumba, is a compelling one. John was first taken to a children’s home at the age of six, where he stayed for two years. At one time while at the home, he fell seriously ill and had to return home for close monitoring. Surprisingly, years later, he found himself in another children’s home. By then, life had become extremely difficult for his mother, who was raising him and his two brothers on her own. Although the decision to place them in a children’s home was challenging, it ultimately became a turning point in his life. While at the home, John discovered his talents in acrobatics and taekwondo. He participated in variouscompetitions and performances, earning trophies and medals. Later, both in high school and college, he formed teams that performed exceptionally well on various stages. In 2018, inspired by his journey, John founded Vipawa Hub Afrika to support children who share similar experiences and help them build meaningful lives. His initiatives focus on ensuring that children in the program can access education by supporting their school fees. He firmly believes that every child deserves an opportunity in life, regardless of their backgrounds.
